eSales implements Privacy Tools solutions in compliance with the Data Protection Law
Security of the data processed and the adequacy of internal processes is the greatest advantage perceived in the company's adaptation to the LGPD.
A pioneer in Brazil in partner integration and business community development, eSales is yet another company that has decided to join Privacy Tools in search of security regarding fundamental rights of freedom and privacy, through the General Personal Data Protection Law – LGPD.
According to eSales Chief Security Officer (CSO), Rudimar Grass, the first few months of adapting to LGPD requirements were focused on learning the platform and the Law. “We had the support of Privacy Tools’ support and sales department, so that everything happened as quickly as possible within the platform, while at the same time we trained our employees with Data Protection Officer certifications,” he highlights.
DPO and three teams involved in the implementation
After this period, according to Grass, the process occurred naturally. “We continue with our Data Protection Officer (DPO) and the Information Security area managing the Privacy Tools platform, data subject requests and monitoring process updates and new treatments,” he adds.
The infrastructure, development, Information Security and DPO teams were directly involved in the integration process. However, CSO Rudimar Grass emphasizes that all sectors assisted in the process to ensure complete mapping of the entire data processing cycle within eSales.
“Implementing security management is vital”
Analyzing the biggest challenge for data protection in the technology area, Grass cites the adaptation of legacy software and databases. “Because these are older technologies, adaptation is more complex, costly and can sometimes compromise the application’s performance,” he notes.
“Therefore, implementing effective information security management that includes palliative security measures that ensure the protection of data processed in legacy environments is vital for any and all companies,” concludes the CSO of eSales.
Technology and security side by side
With innovative technology, eSales is one of the companies that make up the eSales Group, together with Oobj – a specialist in tax solutions. Together, they offer their own specialties for each link in the business chain, creating complete solutions and adding value to the entire network of business connections of over 20 thousand customers. eSales' purpose is to transform the production processes of its customers and the market through management platforms aligned with the concepts of Industry 4.0, hence the importance of maintaining and improving data security.
To assist in this process, Privacy Tools helps transform the way organizations protect and manage the privacy of personal data. Serving more than 500 companies from various segments in Rio Grande do Sul and other regions of the country, Privacy Tools' clients include Petros, Farmácia São João, Calçados Beira Rio, Synnex, Banco RCI and Grupo RBS.
